weebles wobble challenge!!
yes, you read that right!! weebles wobble BUT they don't fall down. and yes, that's ME as a weeble!!!
isn't it fun to play with a weeble? i love to roll them around with my grandkids and what a delight when they always pop right up and sway a bit. makes me smile every time.
so why am i posting a julie king weeble? here's the scoop -- work has been kind of tough lately. many employees are discontent. we continue to struggle with processes and we have way too much re-work. several employees have given notice and are moving on to supposed greener pastures. me, i continue to hang in there. yes, i wobble but i so try to keep a smile on my face and a positive outlook. one day i was thinking about my efforts to be steadfast and strong and i thought of a weeble. plus every day my width seems to be vying to match my height; i just keep getting rounder and rounder. :) i asked our intern to create me as a weeble in illustrator. and this is what she created. i love it so much! thanks to the very talented paige farwick for this tres cute design!!
so i'm throwing out a challenge to each of you. if you find yourself wobbling a bit, trying to remain steadfast and true or trying to keep your head above the proverbial water, be like a weeble and keep popping back up. and i'd love it if you'd participate in my weeble challenge!! create your own weeble and post it on your blog!! link to me and leave a comment here so we can all come see your adorable weeble!

love this!!!
i remember weebles, have not seen them in awhile. I will have to pick up some for my grandson - i think i'll keep one for myself as a reminder!!!
Hugs!
i loved playing with weebles as a kid! i haven't seen one in years, and you're right, how perfect they are to reflect what can often happen in the daily grind. i need a weeble to keep on my desk at work to remind me of that! thanks for sharing.
I got my son a set of them at a garage sale and they were so cute. I think the glasses on yours are the best part.
yes, don't get caught up in the discontent of others. it has happened to me. evaluate your own situation and you'll probably find that most of the griping doesn't really have to do with you and your work. most, not all. i'm sure you're highly respected where you work and that's really important. enjoy your weekend. i know this father's day might be tough. xo, c
Webbles wabble but they don't fall down.....
I was a webble once when I was pregnant and I didn't fall down.
Good luck to you- hang in- there is character in there somewhere.
adorable weeble! :) I was doing so much wobbling this past school year, that I decided to "simplify" my life a bit and reduce my contract to half time... now, we'll see if it really helps or makes things more stressful since the money will be quite a bit less! But... I'm keeping a positive attitude, cuz I know that I can do anything I put my mind to... including spending less money! LOL!
I think my weeble tilts so far that it hangs there for quite awhile, then remembers it is supposed to bounce back. It sure takes me awhile. Just had a five day hospitalization for cellulitis...still recovering from that....impatiently.
At 65, I've done it! My poetry book - Life's Journey by Carmen Henesy - is out on Amazon!
( Poems about the things that have been important to me in my journey through life, some humorous, some sad, some that may have meaning to you as well )

Julie, you make a cute Weeble! I'm certainly round enough to be one myself. I'll have to think about your challenge. You know that is what life is all about...rolling with the punches.
Well Good For YOU!!! I used to adore playing with weebles when I was a kid. I've often wished they still had them so my kids could play. I remember my brother and I trying so hard to make them fall down....and your right... they always stand back up. Keep up the good work. Wishing you blessings in a boat load this summer.
