i snapped this photo as we were driving home from work one day last week. these deer were having a blast skipping and frolicking across the field. the sun was glinting off their snow white tails and it truly made my heart leap to see them so carefree and filled with the joy of spring. i think it must have been contagious as i came home from indiana yesterday bursting with energy and started my spring house cleaning. last evening i frolicked thru the laundry room, scrubbed the walls and floor, rearranged the pantry and put a few extra touches in for good measure. this morning i've started the kitchen. i, too, am filled with the joy of spring.
for those of you sweet enough to ask how baby ben is doing, he is just wonderful. just the sweetest little bundle of joy and i just can't get enough of his chubby little boy cheeks. he nurses well but is still keeping his mama a bit sleep deprived. mama megan reports that being the mother of two is much easier that she ever thought it would be (so far). jenna has passed up a few opportunities to go visit so she could just stay home with her mom and baby brother. she is so enamored! grandma julie is so proud and filled with love!

hi julie! i'm still waiting for the joy of spring and burst of cleaning energy to hit here! as you know, it's not my favorite thing to do, but i love it when it's done!
so glad that baby ben is doing well. it sounds like that sweet little jenna is a big help where her new brother is concerned! enjoy giving those angels lots of grandma kisses!
:)
Julie it's such a delight to read your cheerful posts, this year in particular it seems there is bad news all around.
What an amazing photo!!!! I think frolick is the perfect word, I have thought the same thing with birds lately. It is great your daughter and her two are doing soooo well. I liked your photos from Saturday, really neat.
Hi Julie
I like the collage with the babies that you have on your banner. It is delightful!
Hugs, Rhondi
Julie I can tell by your cheerful, energetic upbeat manner that you are in the clutches of spring. I'm ready for it to clutch me up and give the desire to clean...otherwise I'm afraid I never will.
There have been lots of deer out and about in my hometown. It's that time of the year!
i can't believe that buck still has his antlers! They shed them in the winter and grow new ones in the spring.
I was felling a little jumpy outside today in the 55 degree weather!
I love your artwork in your header!!
Oh my. Gorgeous photo. I've never seen that many deer together in one place. They must be as excited about Spring as we are!
