rain patters

rain patters on my early saturday morning window
answering the question "what will i do today?"
i will relax and rejoice in the cozy nest that is my home
my art room will be my haven from the hectic work
that drains me and has me yearning for peaceful
solace found in putting paint and paper to canvas
the sound of slowly tearing paper will be the
lowly violin accompanying the staccato beat
of the rain washing over my world
refreshing my soul and awakening my heart
to the healing power of rain patters

Your post almost makes me long for rain. We haven't had any since early May--very unusual for Vancouver Island. But it's wonderful waking up to sunshine every day. I love your new banner Julie. It's neat the way you change it so often.

Well, while you were having fun in your cozy studio, I was out there getting soaked, delivering mail! Ha ha. But when I got home, I curled up in my little studio and made some art too. It was a good weekend for artmaking.
