more time with my grandchildren
a few more textures for my background library
a reading road trip
a long walk
play, play, play
spring
peaceful solitude

Aren't you lucky you can post while working. Love your choice of photos. It is raining cats and dogs here. WHINE...
I love the shadow picture!
Hey Julie...I often feel guilty for wishing the week to hurry up to the weekend but I certainly understand where you are coming from. Love your photos and your latest collage is awesome!
I know how you feel. It is taking ages to get back into the swing of things after Christmas.
I love you post though.

Love the post .... your words.... and your photos!! I am also wishing for Spring!!
I'll Amen that! I'd like more of everyone of the things you listed. I'm taking tomorrow off...to clean the house...sigh....
Julie, it's an artist's perpetual thorn in the side to want to be doing something for themselves when having to do work, which can be the steady 9-5 job for many!
Sympathize with you...time is precious so many things to do!

Wishing for your creativness.
the weekend's almost here and you can do it all again. love your photos!
Great pictures and I agree with all of your wishes. Time just keeps slipping away and we need to make the most of it and have some fun!
here's hoping all your wishes come true (especially the part about a shorter work day!!)! :))
Beautiful pictures Julie - thankyou for posting.
I hope all those wishes are coming true
I would like to nominate you for a Sunshine Blog Award
Best wishes
Elizabeth
I've heard so many people lament about how they're having a hard time getting back into the swing of things, just can't seem to focus or wish they could fly off someplace exotic. I've been guilty of the same. Perhaps it's like post partum blues, the after the holiday doldrums? If it weren't January I'd blame it on Spring Fever. LOL
Well, Julie, since I lost my forensic nursing job of 21 years in SF massive budget cuts ( now almost a year ago ), I've wished for nothing more than to be back working! I miss what I did - I've lost my identity and my passion. I miss the children I helped - and who helped define me as a forensic professional. Oh, it was nice to have a LITTLE time off - but not months - and losing nearly $90,000 a year in income means I haven't been able to enjoy my enforced retirement!!
Hope all is going well with you.. Your photos look incredible..

I love that brick wall!!!
We all have those days! IF not, would we be human? :)
pS.... beautiful images! Do you do your own textures?????
shannon, yes i like to take photos to use as textures. mostly because i've not really figured out how to use ones i've found online. i take photos of clouds, rocks, pebbles, tree stumps, grass, water, just about everything. then i'm able to place them as a layer over another photo that i've taken and adjust the transparency until i get something that i like. one of these days i want to figure out how to have that scratched edge look around my photos. one of these days!! thanks for your sweet comments -- always!!
