almost-dead tree still yearning for life
love the bluish gray bark of this tree
metal chairs at coldstone creamery
playground equipment
shopping carts at the ready
perennials on sale
gigantic pink flowers

it's funny how i've started to look at the world differently now that i've become interested in photography. i see shapes, shadows, colors, shafts of light and billowing clouds from an odd-ball perspective. my camera lens is an open door begging me to step thru to a whole new world of creative possibility.
and from where i stand, there's an awesome view!!

I had a revelation like you've had when I took an art class last year. I began to focus on design, and I saw beauty in everything because I was able to appreciate the play of light logic, color interactions, and placement values.
Great photos by the way.
I SOOOO... know what you mean! AND.. when you start looking at things from different perspectives, they are that much more interesting and beautiful! I was wondering about you... hadn't seen a post on my dashboard for a while!
And thanks for sharing your awesome views with us! You have a great eye, and it's wonderful that you are exploring and nurturing this gift!
Excellent photos, Julie. I love how a huge tree looks from the ground point of view.
it takes an artiste eyes like yours to have an awesome view that I can share them from here :)
I really like your perspectives. Very inspiring.
You can make the most mundane objects look beautiful Julie, lovely photos.

I always really enjoy your photography! The playground shot really caught my attention out of this group. It's really neat to see the angles that you select and I love the fact that things seem turned upsidedown!

these are such lovely shots! Beauty can be found in the everyday...though I never would have suspected shopping carts!~
I know exactly what you mean - I love taking photos and this love has me looking at the world, always, in a totally fascinated way. I find I also really notice light - like I never did before. xo from les Gang
