lettuce eat good food

last evening i harvested the first lettuce and spinach from my garden. it was so yummy with red wine vinegar and olive oil drizzled on top. there's something quite rewarding from eating food you've grown yourself. tonight i'm going to mix up an organic pesticide recipe i found online to keep the worms off the cabbage and broccolli.

lettuce eat good food. lettuce give thanks for all the ways we are blessed.

It has been so many years since I had a garden. I would love to have one now to grow arugula. I love it and put it on so many things. I also like perilla, a leaf I had in Japan. It was always served with sushi and sashimi and I think it would be a lovely addition to salad. I brought home seeds but never planted them and that was five years ago.

that sounds like a quick harvest, how rewarding for you Julie, not to mention the fresh taste.

Look at how great it looks! Your right...it always tastes better when you grow it yourself.
