foggy lens beach

we were sitting on the beach under our beach umbrella last wednesday morning while a thunderstorm blew over. it was only misting rain from dark clouds with lots of wind and no lightning at all. i was afraid it would blow up a hard rain so i put my nikon in the cooler to stay dry. after the storm blew over i took my camera out and shot these wondrously soft hazy photos. these are sooc -- straight out of camera!! i did not do a bit of altering. what is the secret to this wonderful fuzzy look? the camera lens fogged up when i took it out of the cooler and the warm humid air hit it. i'd like to spend an entire day at foggy lens beach. imagine the photos i could take!!

Wow, they are weird! They remind me of what things look like when my contacts lenses aren't working properly. lol. Fun! Thanks for sharing.

I love the dreamy quality of the photos. Mmmmm, I'm thinking of the possibilities with a foggy lens....Halloween in a cemetery....children at a carnival....endless fun!

Funny, Julie, this looks like many regular days at beaches in Pacifica when the fog is so thick, you can't see two feet in front of you! At least, you can tell the sun is shining out there somewhere! Nice, somewhat eerie photos, an air of mystery.

Now me, I would have never thought twice about the effect you recieved. I would have deleted them way too fast.

I wish I had the "eye" that you do. So talented.

These are sooooooooo lovely!!!!!! It is an awesome effect. I took a photo of my neighbors flower and it was so humid outside the lens fogged up and had the same soft effect. Glad you had a wonderful trip to Destin, I love that place. You have had some lovely work posted lately...keep it up!
