a day of play

a day of play today . . . time to relax and be creative without goal or deadline. the best kind of day. the pear tree photos i took this fall have been on my mind so i collaged this mixed media piece today with lots of vintage sheet music pieces.

this is a photo of took of my shadow at the bottom of a ravine in october. i thought it was kind of cool in reverse.

i picked up my new glasses yesterday. don't you love how they have a cool neon glow? hee hee

this is a hull vase from 1938 titled "sueno tulip". it's from my mom's collection -- one of the pieces i bought in the family auction the summer of '07.

sunday is winding down and the new wally lamb book "the hour i first believed" is calling my name. presley and i are going to snuggle in my big chaise reading chair for the balance of the evening.

one last thought from george bernard shaw -- "we don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing". i feel very young at heart today!

Have to say the pear collage does it for me - it really is terrific.

Had to smile at your shadow at the bottom of the canyon - neat!
