snowy, snowy night

snowy, snowy night
camera in tow
out in the street
i happily go

look to the heavens
see it fall down
icy cold splendor
without a sound

click of the camera
street lamp glow
a glorious way
to experience snow

photos and poem (C) 2009 julie king

These are such nice snowy night pix, Julie! I just tried to do the same thing. I set up my tripod and patiently took about ten shots, then when I got back inside, I dropped my camera and broke it!! :(

Beautiful...our house looks like that, too! But, of course, we aren't that far from each other!
Happy cozy night! :)

Wonderful pictures! It's cold enough for snow here, but I don't think we'll get any. I love your poem too. Girl, you are so creative!

Julie, thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I took a look at your Etsy shop and your work is GORGEOUS! I am especially in love with the Poppies piece. I'm all inspired to go make some art now! Nice to "meet" you too. :)

Amazing photos. I'm too wimpy to brave the cold and snow. Especially this morning.

WOW great shots of the snow. I have only seen snow a very few times in my life. Jacksonville is usually 80 degrees wheneveryone else is 20!

Those pics inspire nostalgia and tranquility :) Nowadays everyone hides behind CAC in summer and overheated houses in winter, no one goes out anymore to see the magic ! Thank you :)

Love the photos AND the poem! Thanks for sharing. I miss the snow. Even though I am enjoying being at the beach as I write this...
