winter's homecoming

while coming home tonight i was marveling at the vast contrasts in the sky . . . gorgeous peachy pink sunset while dark, nearly ominous clouds loomed overhead. i kicked myself for not having my camera with me (again!) but arrived home just in time to snap this photo facing southwest. a few clicks on the trusty mac, a waving of wands in photoshop, some scribbling of poetic words in my sketchbook and voila! i had posted the above image and poem titled winter's homecoming. (click on the image for a larger view and better read of the poem). home is an eternal heaven but nothing compares to coming home on a cold winter's eve . . . a cup of soup, the end of the christmas eggnog, cozy pajamas and a long snuggle with my hubbie all make for pure perfection! and, there's always presley there waiting for me to do the end-of-day happy, happy, joy, joy dance with him. life just couldn't get any better!
