fall wedding

as we reveled in a gorgeous day at the arboretum on saturday we stumbled upon this couple having their wedding photos taken before the ceremony which was to be held later in the afternoon. i took this from quite a distance away behind a grove of trees, not wanting to interfere with their special moment.  after a close crop i added a ghosted back photo of a rough rock to give lots of gritty texture. sometimes i think it would be fun to make a living out of capturing people's special moments in life. but for this one small moment in time, it was serendipitous to just get to capture this one blissful photo.

Hey, whatever happened to not seeing the bride before the ceremony? We're so practical these days! Great picture Julie!!

That's what I call a serendipitous moment. You were in the right place at the right time.
Once on a Saturday afternoon trip to the missions of San Antonio,
there was a wedding couple coming out the doors right as I walked up. I didn't take any wonderful pictures like you.

The effect is marvelous on this photo Julie. It makes me think that you captured this couple in their own little world.

What a gorgeous photo and taken at just the right time. My brother happens upon weddings from time to time and makes a point to take pictures too.

Weddings know no season, they are beautiful year round, perhaps it's the love of the two being joined in holy matrimony that make it so timeless.
I truly like the way you worked the photo, it has a vintage quality to it even though it was taken very recently.

Julie! good to hear from you. You'll have to come back as I just loaded a new post after such a long time away.

Anyway, this weekend I saw a wedding too. The weather was probably not as clear and nice as they'd like but nevertheless still marvelous in many ways.

Hope you are well.

Take care.
