flea market on a budget

markings says "germany eglantine"

we went to a local outdoor flea market a few saturdays ago to browse around and enjoy the sunshine. i gave myself a $10 budget, knowing i would find lots of little inexpensive things to add to my collections. i'm collecting cup and saucer sets and miniature tea sets for my granddaughters. i got all of the above for $10.50. i allowed myself to go over the limit because i just had to have that tiny little set in the middle -- i gave $1.50 for it.  i asked jenna which she liked best and she said "all of them". that's my girl!

the light and sunshine coming in my east windows was glorious this morning. i love it when the sun shifts around this time of year and i get beautiful light and shadows. and we all know that the light in fall is the very best of all.

we're off to the arboretum today. happy october all!

I like 'all of them' too! :) And I totally agree with the lighting in the fall...it is wonderful and so different from the other seasons!

Lucky finds, Julie. Your $10 stretches well.

I especially like the delicate set in the first photo.

My friend Michelle uses her teacups to serve dessert to her family. She says a simple chocolate mousse turns into a fabulous dessert when served this way. Your teacups would be equally delicious with hot tea or chocolate!

We'd say that 50 cents was well worth it!

The set on the bottom is my fave. I love the blue trim. I'm sure your grand will have lots of fun with them all.
