courage to fly free

this week's inch by inch piece is a little watercolor i did very quickly on saturday morning. i've titled it "courage to fly free".  i use watercolors very infrequently so my technique is not honed. i did enjoy doing this little one, though. to see more 3" x 3" inch by inch projects, please go to remembering paris for the list of participants.

"Courage to fly free" is incredibly sweet ! I always felt it harder to work in miniature than in larger scale as smaller requires far more restraint and a good sense of when enough is enough. You've managed to do that beautifully. (Also love your new summer time banner...cloths pins on a line, brings back memories.)

Very pretty! I especially like the detail of including musical notes into the wings of the heart. Very nice touch and great colors!

You've picked a great way to represent the theme of courage. It goes along with some other posts you've done recently about your feelings about blooming in the past few years.

Whooohoooo! give a hand to Julie King--she did it ..THIS..week! :)

I LOVE this. So touchingly sweet and joyful too. I like music bar collage wings and the way the hearts are either balloons or flowers. Perfect.

And what is even more funny, is how we almost titled our pieces the same. Your is far more creative in concept though.

I sooo can't wait to see what you do next week.

Very cute, and I love the quote in this! So true. Sometimes we have to spread our wings and fly to see what's out there. Face life head on! Good job! :)

This is whimsical and fancy free, just as you would imagine flying to be like. It reminds me of my little girl, too, so sweet.
